Minutes 1-5-09

-A description and explanation of the Clinic being held at the Little League on Saturdays was discussed. Al Aguero started his own baseball clinic which he runs with three other adults who are experts in the field. It is run on Saturdays from 9-11an free to all WNY residents. The first 3 wks are beginners (minor league) and then there will be specialty sessions (infield, catching, etc). This clinic is only open to WNY residents, however, Al offers private lessons for a cost. Al asked if he would be able to utilize the WNY LL field for the private lessons. Someone will ask the town if the WNY LL is allowed to use the premises for services that have a fee and get back to the officers.
-The LL has 26 sponsors lined up already and there is no debt.
-Any checks we get will first be given to Ramona, she will record it, and then it will go to Henry and he will deposit it.
-If someone wants to purchase something for LL, they must first put the request in writing to Tapia, who will then bring it to a LL meeting and it will be voted on by the Board
-Al suggested that pictures be taken of the kids this year. The majority agreed with this suggestion and it will be pursued further
-Regular meetings will be held on Tuesdays at 7:30
